• Fruit Smoothie with Oats

    • 1 cup nonfat milk
    • 1/2 cup rolled oats
    • 1 tablespoon flaxseed, ground
    • 1 banana, sliced
    • 14 frozen strawberries
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar or honey

     Blend above until smooth. Serves 2. 

     Provides per serving: 232 calories, 0 g saturated fat, 0 g monounsaturated fat, 2 g polyunsaturated fat, 44 g of carbohydrate, 6 g of fiber, 9 g of protein, and 55 milligrams of sodium.
