This 10-minute video, "You & Your Stent," was developed just for patients who have undergone an angioplasty and stenting procedure to treat a blocked heart artery. We invite you to watch the video at your convenience and to share it with the people in your life.
The video will help you understand how the heart and arteries work, how arteries can become blocked with plaque, and why angioplasty and stents may be used to widen narrowed arteries and restore blood flow to the heart. You’ll see how an angioplasty procedure is performed and learn how to take care of your stent. And, importantly, this video reviews what will happen after you receive a stent - including how to work with your healthcare team for a heart-healthy life.
