Ms. Silver earned her bachelor of science in nursing in 1985 at Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indianna and her master of science in nursing in 1997 at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is an Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, in cardiology at NorthShore University HealthSystem, Evanston Hospital, Evanston, Illinois. Ms. Silver is also an adjunct faculty at the Graduate College of Nursing at Rush University and University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago Illinois. Her affilations include Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) since 1988, the American Heart Association, and Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society. She is also an American College of Cardiology Cardiac Care Associate.
Ms. Silver manages the care and treatment of patients undergoing interventional cardiac procedures such as coronary and carotid artery stent placement, mitral and aortic valvuloplasty, PFO closure, as well as investigational device therapy for heart valve disease. She works with clients and their families to ensure safe and effective evaluation and treatment of their cardiac problems, and addresses risk factors to promote health and stabilize disease progression.
