Since completing his pediatric cardiology fellowship at Yale New Haven hospital in 1989 under the direction of Dr. William Hellenbrand, Dr. Weber was appointed Director of Interventional Pediatric Cardiology and has fully developed the interventional catheterization program at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. Currently, he and his team perform more than 100 interventional procedures annually in newborn to adult patients with congenital heart disease. Procedures include balloon valvuloplasty, balloon angioplasty, vascular stent placement, and device closure of various vascular structures, such as septal defects, and percutaneous pulmonary valve replacement therapy.
