    balaguru.jpgDr. Balaguru is a pediatric interventional cardiologist. He went to medical school in India and trained in pediatrics, neonatology, and pediatric cardiology in the United Kingdom. In the United States, he trained in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology at NYU Medical Center. He received his interventional cardiology training MUSC Children’s Hospital in Charleston, SC. After completing a senior fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital, he has been an attending physician since 2002. Currently he practices at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Dr. Balaguru’s academic position is Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Texas Houston Medical School. His area of expertise is in transcatheter procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart diseases, pediatric cardiac intensive care, and general pediatric cardiology. He is also the Associate Director of Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Training Program.
