Restrictive Cardiomyopathy
Symptoms
No signs or symptoms may appear in the early stages of cardiomyopathy. As the condition advances, signs and symptoms usually appear, such as:
- Shortness of breath
- Lower extremity edema (swelling in legs)
- Fatigue
- Exercise intolerance
Other symptoms can present depending on the cause of restrictive cardiomyopathy.
The following tests help to identify restrictive cardiomyopathy:
- Echocardiogram (ECG)
- Right Heart Catheterization
- Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- FDG-PET
- Endomyocardial Biopsy
- Genetic testing
