  2. What potential benefits may an angiogram have for me or my child?
  3. What are the alternatives to having an angiogram?
  4. What risks can be expected from undergoing an angiogram?
  5. Is an empty stomach required before the procedure? Should any medications be withheld? Are there any required medications to take for the procedure?
  6. Where is the point of entry to perform the angiogram? (Common entry sites are the artery in the groin or the artery in the wrist.)
  7. How much radiation exposure will there be during the angiogram?
  8. What will happen if a blockage is discovered?
  9. Under what circumstances might an angiogram result in immediate angioplasty and stenting or a referral for bypass surgery?
  10. Will there be any limitations after the procedure? If I'm the one having the test, will I need to have someone who can drive me home?
  11. Is an empty stomach required before the procedure?
  12. Are there any required medications to take for the procedure?
  13. Should any medications be withheld (temporarily stopped before the procedure)? Should I restart taking my medications after the procedure?
